First bus is awful for people trying to travel with a pram, buggy or pushchair. Walk on bused on the Fauldhouse Broxburn route are few and far between. Drivers vary in their attitudes. On Wednesday 10th September at the 6.10 bus from fauldhouse , the driver said to my daughter "we have no facilities for buggies, I am going nowhere till the pram is folded." he then took off before my daughter was properly seated with the buggy folded and sitting with her baby. What if she had fallen carrying the child, he was grumped at taking her and a pram. Why are first buses not accessibles to people with children. It is 2008 and yet people with children are discriminated against by bus services and by their drivers.

Well played Brod. Politicians like to talk about the big issues but things like bus shelters that sometimes seem trivial can make a huge difference. Campaigning for faster broadband and a bus shelter, standing up for people over waste plans and the extension of the United Downs dump - that's great.
